EFJCA conference – Collaborative Solutions: Uniting Health Sector and Family Justice Centers to Address Gender-Based and Domestic Violence

We participated in a conference titled Collaborative Solutions: Uniting Health Sector and Family Justice Centers to Address Gender-Based and Domestic Violence, organized by the European Family Justice Center Alliance. The conference was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences with international experts from the European Union, Turkey, and the United States, who demonstrated how to successfully integrate medical care for victims with other key stakeholders, such as the police and social services, in addressing domestic violence cases.

The importance of the “one-stop shop” model, which provides comprehensive support to victims in one place, was particularly emphasized. Examples of good practices from Family Justice Centers were presented, showing how they offer integrated healthcare, social, and legal protection in coordination with the police.

We aim to implement a similar approach in Croatia.
